Based in Wagga Wagga, rural NSW, Dulcie Lane was inspired by the precious postpartum period after birth, where a mother must be well supported and well nourished.

I am a mother caring for mothers and am here for you as you navigate your fourth trimester.

 

Different countries all over the world care for their newborn mothers with various postpartum traditions. Here in Australia this care is unfortunately not yet a part of our culture and this is where Dulcie Lane fits into your postpartum journey.
I am here to hold the mother and provide the care they crave.
 

Drawing from my own personal postpartum journeys, I was wanting more of an alternative approach to aid my body in the changes experienced after childbirth and in the months following. Through having my own placentas encapsulated, hiring a postpartum doula and tailoring homemade meals to support my postpartum body, I found that my wellbeing was nourished and supported from the inside out.

I started to think about how I could help other new mothers in a similar situation as me after noticing a gap within the local communities care for postpartum women, and developing a deep hunger to provide a meaningful service in the world.
I began the steps to create my own business and completed the Postpartum Kitchen Apprenticeship by Milk & Seed, which helped me establish a sound knowledge in how to cook for the first 40 days postpartum using traditional Ayurvedic recipes with a modern spin, and why this care is so important. Completing my Postpartum Doula training and certification through Child Birth International, kickstarted my In Home Mothercare services.

I am currently a Lactation Counsellor in training.
